Rosa Acuna was examined by her physician, had an ultrasound, and was told she was 6-8 weeks pregnant. When she asked if it was a “baby in there,” she was told,“don’t be stupid, it’s only blood.” Following an abortion, Rosa experienced bleeding and was admitted to a hospital. When she asked a nurse what had happened, she was told that “the doctor left parts of the baby inside of you.” At
this point, Rosa realized it was a baby. Subsequently, her mental health
deteriorated, and she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Rosa filed a lawsuit, and both the district and appellate courts agreed that she should have been fully informed, including being told that she was carrying a human being. However, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that the abortionist was under no obligation to give her the information she had asked about – that she was carrying a baby! Citing the 35-year-old Roe v. Wade ruling, the court reasoned that the abortionist is not compelled to provide this information because there are “different scientific, moral, or philosophical viewpoint on the issue of when life begins.”

Live Action launched a multi-state undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood to find that counselors typically use misleading, manipulative, and exploitative information to convince women to get abortions. There have been two videos already released, from Planned Parenthoods in Appleton and Milwaukee Wisconsin, and now, Live Action has released a third from a clinic in Indianapolis, Indiana.

When the woman, purportedly 10-weeks pregnant, asks the clinician, named “Sarah,” when her baby’s heart begins to beat, Sarah replies, “It’s around I think the 8th or the 9th week that you can hear the heartbeat.” The heart actually begins beating 3 weeks and 1 day after conception, according to Moore and Persaud’s well-known textbook The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology. The Planned Parenthood clinician also insists, “It’s not a baby, it’s a fetus,” which, she claims, is “not like a person.”

In the video, Sarah assures the woman that “having an abortion is safer than carrying to term.” The woman asks, “The abortion won’t hurt me from having more kids in the future, will it?” and the counselor replies, “Nope.” But a 2009 study from the Obstetrical and Gynecological Survey recently found that a previous abortion increased a woman’s risk of pre-term birth by 20%, and a 2003 report from the Shanghai Institute of Planned Parenthood Research notes a 55% increased risk of future miscarriages for women who have abortions.

Lila Rose, UCLA student and president of Live Action, says the new footage places Planned Parenthood well outside the medical mainstream. “Planned Parenthood’s counseling is based on its abortion-first mentality rather than the medical facts that women need,” observes Rose. “Planned Parenthood gives vulnerable women misinformation to sell them the abortion.” Indiana informed consent state law requires that women receive accurate medical information before undergoing an abortion.

As Lila said, this is entirely about selling abortions. Abortion is a lucrative business. What we see from Live Action’s undercover videos time and time again is that the “counselors” never offer an alternative to these women. They’re confused, they’re scared, they’re vulnerable, and Planned Parenthood takes advantage of them by lying to them with manipulative and inaccurate information. Why? To make money. Planned Parenthood doesn’t get any money if the woman decides to keep the baby or give it up for adoption. In 2007, Planned Parenthood performed 305,310 abortions… and only referred 4,912 adoptions.

It’s all about the money for them. These “counselors” aren’t there to help women during a time of crisis. They’re salespeople, out to make a sale. Planned Parenthood makes millions of dollars off of abortions, on top of the millions of taxpayer funding they already receive, and why would they want to give that up?

This is why pro-life advocates push for mandatory ultrasounds. Women seeking abortions deserve to know the truth, and instead, they’re lied to and manipulated. These Planned Parenthood counselors have goods to sell, after all, and the murders of unborn children must happen no matter what. If women know the truth, they’re not as likely to have the abortion. Lying to women doesn’t matter as long as abortions are being performed — and the femisogynists go right along with it. As I said before,

Meanwhile, feminists (who ardently defend Planned Parenthood and their abortion mill) have been silent about Lila Rose and all that she’s uncovered. Jessica Valenti, for example, seems to have no problem with covering up the sexual abuse of minors, as long as it leads to abortion, the sacred cow of feminism. Planned Parenthood must be defended and the taxpayer funding cannot be revoked. To feminists, “the right the choose” is more important than anything unethical or immoral that an abortionist may do. It can cover all manner of ills.

They self-righteously huff that women know enough to make their own choice, but if they’re lied to and uninformed, how can they really make a choice? If abortion advocates were truly pro-choice, then they’d be outraged over these lies and manipulative tactics. But they aren’t pro-choice, they’re pro-abortion, and abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood are selling the murders of unborn children at any cost.

This weekend is the one-year anniversary of George Tiller’s horrible murder, and of course, this means that the pro-abortion fanatics are out in force. This time, they’re complaining about states that require women to view ultrasounds before having an abortion. That complaint isn’t particularly new, but now, it’s being called emotional torture.

Staff members interviewed at three of the seven abortion clinics in the state estimated that 30 percent to 70 percent of women chose to see ultrasound images. But they said it was uncommon for women to be dissuaded.

It had happened occasionally, they said, when a sonogram revealed a multiple pregnancy or when a woman was already deeply unsure about her choice.

But a number of women at the Birmingham clinic, which was the site of a fatal bombing in 1998, said they simply did not want to subject themselves to images that might haunt them. “You almost have to think of it as an alien,” said Carmen, 28, who was there for her second abortion in three years.

Like other patients, Laura, who has a 17-year-old son, said she took offense at the state’s implicit suggestion that she had not fully considered her choice.

“You don’t just walk into one of these places like you’re getting your nails done,” she said. “I think we’re armed with enough information to make adult decisions without being emotionally tortured.”

This makes the assumption that all women take the time to think an abortion through, that they all know week-by-week how the baby is growing in their uterus, that they have received medically accurate information. This is suspect at best.

Take Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States. Approximately one third of Planned Parenthood’s clients are girls under the age of 18. Just how informed are they expected to be? Not only do these girls usually have no clue whatsoever about what they are about to go through, they don’t usually have medically accurate information. Pro-life activist group Live Action gained fame from investigating Planned Parenthood’s willingness to cover up the sexual abuse of minors with their Mona Lisa Project. They’ve now started a new undercover investigation, The Rosa Acuna Project, to find out if Planned Parenthood is giving medically accurate information to their clients.

They have not done so.

The counselors give manipulative information filled with lies to clients who are scared or confused or unsure. Why? Because they don’t want women choosing to not have an abortion. Abortions are lucrative. Planned Parenthood doesn’t benefit if a woman decides to keep her baby.

And why would seeing an ultrasound before an abortion be emotional torture to a woman? Well, because most women aren’t prepared for the emotional roller coaster ride they’re about to go through with an abortion, for the anguish, regret, and guilt that many women feel. Many women aren’t prepared to confront the life they’ve just destroyed. An ultrasound forces them to confront that reality. Is it perhaps emotional torture because women are killing their children? Because women cannot bear to look at an ultrasound and see the life they are about to take away?

Bernard Nathanson is a prime example of this. Nathanson was once a pro-abortion activist who helped to found the National Abortion Rights Action League. NARAL was originally created to repeal abortion laws, and succeeded with the Roe v. Wade decision. Nathanson says he has performed over 75,000 abortions in his lifetime. However, with the advent of the ultrasound, he found that he couldn’t ignore the barbarity of abortions anymore, and became a staunch pro-life activist.

Ultrasound images are so powerful that Nathanson made two documentaries, The Silent Scream and Eclipse of Reason. The Silent Scream shows an ultrasound of an abortion being performed on a baby eleven weeks after conception. Eclipse of Reason shows a late-term abortion being performed, and is even more horrifying. These ultrasound images were strong enough to convert Dr. Nathanson, the father of the pro-abortion movement still in action today. How would viewing an ultrasound be to an expectant mother who is confused, scared, and probably already feeling slightly guilty? Of course it would be emotional torture. She would look at that ultrasound and it would be like a knife going through her heart. It’s emotional torture because deep down, they know that they’re killing their child, and it’s heartbreaking.

Why would abortion advocates have such a problem with women being forced to view the ultrasound? Apparently, during first trimester abortions, women weren’t much dissuaded from the abortion because an unborn baby at, say, five weeks kind of looks like a little tadpole or something, and not like a baby. Once you start looking at second and third trimester abortions, however, the images are much harder for women to see. And regardless of when in the pregnancy the abortion takes place, women who are unsure about their choice are definitely swayed by viewing the ultrasound. The abortion lobby doesn’t want fewer women to have abortions, so making women view the child they’re about to kill doesn’t sit well with them — not because they care about the welfare of women, but because they don’t want to lose a potential sale. A woman who is already confused and scared and unsure about the choice to have an abortion who views the ultrasound is much more likely to change her mind than the woman who doesn’t see her baby first.

Deep down, their conscience will tell them that this is wrong, but they don’t want to admit that to themselves. That is what brings on the feelings of emotional torture. And it’s what pro-abortion activists don’t want women to know. The abortion lobby does not want women to be fully informed about the realities of abortion, because if women were, a much greater number of them would walk away. So pro-abortion activists try to keep women in the dark, while screeching that they’re only fighting for women’s rights.

But is it really pro-woman to keep women in the dark?

It’s a little difficult for people who were victims of abortion to purchase their mother a gift for Mother’s Day this weekend. But Planned Parenthood apparently thinks moms want donations made to the abortion business in their name from those lucky enough to not have been aborted themselves.

Cecile Richards, the president of the largest abortion business in the nation, sent out Planned Parenthood’s annual Mother’s Day fundraising missive today.

“It’s almost Mother’s Day … and if you have a mother in your life who’s anything like me or my mom (the late Texas Governor Ann Richards), then you know nothing would make her happier than a gift that represents bold and compassionate values. Like a gift in her honor to Planned Parenthood Federation of America,” she writes.

“We’ve made it quick and easy — and we’ve even made it pretty,” Richards adds. “Honor a mother in your life with a gift to Planned Parenthood. [It's] a gift your loved one will appreciate — and remember.”

You can see an image of the “pretty” card and the e-mail here. This isn’t the first time Planned Parenthood has exploited Mother’s Day. I’m sure it won’t be the last. Still, it’s grotesque. Thanks, Mom, for not aborting me — now I’m going to donate to Planned Parenthood in your name now so that thousands upon thousands of mothers can butcher their children! Celebrate the life your mother gave you by giving a donation in her name so that some other woman can deny her child life!

It really is astounding that an organization that profits off of robbing women of motherhood would actually try to use Mother’s Day as a fundraising tool. It’s not surprising, but it’s offensive and ridiculous nonetheless. Donating to Planned Parenthood in honor of Mother’s Day is like celebrating Martin Luther King Day by donating to the KKK.

Abortion is an awful, terrible tragedy, and giving donations to help fund them honors no one, and especially not mothers.

The lies told by the counselor are flagrant and and reprehensible. A girl goes in wanting to get information and is given nothing but lies. And why? Because the Planned Parenthood counselor isn’t a counselor at all, but a salesperson with goods to sell. And those goods are the murders of unborn children, even if it is at the expense of a frightened, confused young girl looking to find help.

The counselor was told that the teen was between six and eight weeks pregnant. When asked if there is a baby, she is told that there is only “fetal matter… no arms, no legs, no heart, no head, no brains”. This is a blatant lie.

At six weeks, there is already a heartbeat and a head. Muscles and skeletal structure are beginning to form. At seven weeks, the arms and legs are beginning to form, and both hemispheres of the brain have become more developed. At eight weeks, the baby has fingers and toes. Nerve cells in the brain are starting to branch out and connect with each other.

But according to the Planned Parenthood counselor, all of this is non-existent. All that exists is “fetal matter”.

The counselor even goes so far as to try to talk the teen out of adoption, calling all of the aborted children “burdens”. The counselor clearly was making the case that, if not for abortion, we would have millions of unwanted children, presumably with no homes. Of course, as Live Action points out in the video, there are far more couples seeking babies to adopt than children who actually get adopted.

Like I said, Planned Parenthood doesn’t have counselors. They have salespeople. Notice how this woman uses a technique you might recognize if you’ve ever bought a vehicle from a dealership, ever. It’s the “buy it now, because this offer won’t be available tomorrow!” technique. The salesperson tries to rush you into doing it right away, because they know you’re less likely to make the deal if you wait until later. It’s awful when you consider that this is someone who is supposed to be helping girls make the best decision for them. They’re going to Planned Parenthood scared, confused, angry maybe… and they’re being manipulated and taken advantage of. Planned Parenthood receives millions in taxpayer funding, and yet they still operate on an abortion-first basis out of greed and bloodlust.

This is not only unethical. It’s illegal. As Live Action points out,

Wisconsin law requires women to receive medically accurate information before obtaining an abortion. The America Medical Association indicates in its Code of Ethics that “the physician’s obligation is to present the medical facts accurately to the patient.”

Lila Rose, UCLA student and president of Live Action, says the new footage further confirms the deceptive and manipulative practices of Planned Parenthood: “Planned Parenthood has an abortion-first mentality that is driven both by ideology and the desire for money,” says Rose. “Since women will often choose against abortion if they learn the scientific facts about the unborn child inside the womb, Planned Parenthood distorts basic facts in an attempt to perform more abortions.”

And this isn’t the first time Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has shown a fondness towards breaking the law. Just last February they were caught in another of Live Action’s undercover stings covering up the sexual abuse of a minor.

I say this every time Live Action comes out with another of their undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood. This is an evil organization. They manipulate young girls, they peddle in eugenics, they cover up the sexual abuse of minors, and they do it all for blood and money, and all with taxpayer subsidies. Thank God for the work of Live Action and Lila Rose, for uncovering the evil and wickedness of this bloodthirsty organization.

Don’t believe it.

What they actually want is for women to have abortions. They don’t want women to see ultrasounds because then, they might choose to keep their baby. They don’t want women to know that adoption is an option for them, too. Women are misled to believe that abortion is their only choice, that they have no way out. When a scared, confused, and desperate woman walk into a Planned Parenthood, she often gets an abortion because she feels like she has no other choice. The so-called “counselors” there prey on this mentality. They don’t show women that there are other options besides just abortion.

See for yourself: over at Live Action, the 2007 Planned Parenthood Annual Report was exposed, and the numbers are gruesome. In the year 2007, Planned Parenthood made only 4,912 adoption referrals yet performed 305,310 abortions.

Should those numbers really be so lopsided? No, but Live Action’s newest undercover project, the Rosa Acuna Project, shows why these numbers are so lopsided. The “counselors” at Planned Parenthood aren’t there to help women make the best choice for themselves. They aren’t there to tell women that abortion isn’t the only choice they have. They are salespeople, plain and simple, and the product that they are selling is abortion.

Now, if abortion is legal, then for the time being women should be advised that abortion is an option for them. But why do these clinics never tell women about other choices they could make? Why is it that pro-choicers never seem very thrilled about the idea of a woman choosing to have her baby? When someone walks into a Planned Parenthood clinic, all of the options should be explained to her. There are ways to get help if you choose to keep your baby. If you don’t want an abortion, we can do an adoption referral for you. If you feel like you have no options, let us tell you that you do have a choice.

How is making women feel like abortion is the only option they have advocating choice?

This debuts at a good time, considering the release of Barack Obama’s new health care plan. It was revealed yesterday that $7 billion is going towards community health centers, hidden in a provision. How much of that money will be going to Planned Parenthood clinics across the country? How much of it will be going to other abortion clinics?

At a time when it’s being shown that Planned Parenthood flagrantly refuses to follow the law, Obama is setting up his new health care plan to enable more abortion funding. What does that say about how extremist Obama is in his pro-abortion views? Pro-life or pro-abortion, what happens in these clinics should make you sick. Any rational person who had even the slightest hint of morals wouldn’t allow the actions of Planned Parenthood to go on unpunished — yet that is exactly what has happened in state after state after state.

And worst of all (though unsurprising), far from condemning this activity, Obama is gearing up to funnel even more money to this illegal organization.

At least there is someone out there who will keep working to expose Planned Parenthood as the evil organization that it truly is.

A Birmingham abortion clinic that was targeted in an undercover sting by anti-abortion activists has been put on probation by the state.
State health officials tell The Associated Press that the Planned Parenthood clinic has until next week to present its plan to correct violations involving minors receiving abortions.

Investigators with the department said records at the clinic showed several minors aged 13-15 had received abortions without proper verification of parental consent since November 2008.

Activists with “Live Action,” a California-based anti-abortion group, posed as a pregnant 14-year-old girl who needed a secret abortion. In an audio tape from the visit, an employee allegedly suggests that someone other than a parent or legal guardian could give consent.

The group’s claim last year led Alabama health officials to investigate.

This is a huge victory for Live Action and for Lila Rose. Lila went undercover at eight Planned Parenthood clinics in the Mona Lisa project, and there have been multiple other violations uncovered across the country. Yet so far, this is the only clinic that has seen repercussions. This particular clinic was found to not only cover up the rape of a minor, but also to try to circumvent parental notification laws. Sadly, what we’ve all speculated about has turned out to be true. It’s only acting when Lila Rose and Jackie Stollar go into these clinics, but how many real underaged girls — scared, confused girls who could possibly be victims of abuse — is this happening to? This clinic was found to have several records of this happening. Imagine how many girls across the country are victims of pedophiles and abusers, and are taken advantage of by an evil organization out for blood and money.

Thankfully, this clinic is being held accountable — but what about the other seven? And don’t forget, Planned Parenthood still receives millions in taxpayer dollars from our government.

It is one thing to be for abortion, but there is absolutely no defense whatsoever for what is happening in these Planned Parenthood clinics. Lila Rose has done a fantastic job exposing them for what they really are, and it’s too bad that this is the only clinic so far to have to potentially face justice for their illegal and immoral activities.

Given all that, it’s really not a surprise what happened about a month and a half ago. While visiting a clinic in San Jose, CA, a male Planned Parenthood escort approached her… and then struck her.

At approximately 11:50am on Thursday, December 17th, 2009, Live Action President Lila Rose was struck by a male uniformed Planned Parenthood escort. The attack occurred on a public sidewalk outside a Planned Parenthood affiliate located at 1691 The Alameda in San Jose, California.

Lila Rose was visiting the abortion clinic with a group of about 20 students and three adults to pray and provide information to women who might be open to abortion alternatives.

According to a police report filed at the scene, supported by several witnesses, the following interaction took place between Miss Rose and the uniformed Planned Parenthood escort:

Rose, from the public sidewalk: “Sir, are you familiar with the abortion procedure?”
Escort approaches Rose rapidly from Planned Parenthood parking lot, says, “You idiot. You’ve caused so much trouble. You piece of crap.”
Rose offers to show Escort a picture: “Can I show you a picture of what it really does to a baby?”
The Escort strikes Miss Rose’s hand, knocking literature and Bible to the ground. Rose steps further back on sidewalk, Escort steps towards Rose.
Escort, visibly shaking, says, “It’s a woman’s choice!”
Rose says, “What about the baby’s choice?”
Escort says, “It’s not a baby!” Escort turns around and walks away.

Police were called and interviewed the victim and several witnesses. Rose sustained no injuries from the attack. Charges of assault and battery are pending. There have been no apologies.

Live Action maintains a strong commitment to non-violent public discourse. We expect Planned Parenthood will respond to their escort’s attack by publicly disavowing the use of violence.

I was asked by Live Action to try to contact Planned Parenthood and get a response from them about this incident. I genuinely wanted to know their side of the story. Have they done their own investigation into this? Is the escort, a Gerard Nordley, still working with Planned Parenthood? Do they have a statement? Will they issue an apology?

I called their public relations department repeatedly for over a month. I left message after message. I never received a single phone call to follow up about this incident, or a single e-mail. This leads me to believe that Lila Rose’s statement is indeed accurate, and that Planned Parenthood is trying to keep this quiet. I understand the role of escorts for abortion clinics, and approaching the abortion protestors is not in the job description. Assaulting them is definitely not. Lila wasn’t hurt, thankfully, but what happens next time? If this man wasn’t even disciplined for his actions, what will keep him from taking it a step further with someone else? And if Planned Parenthood does not discipline this man in any way, or issue an apology to Lila Rose, then you have to assume that they approve of his behavior.

Just one more thing to add to the list of reasons why this organization is truly rotten to the core.

UPDATE: I wanted to issue a note to clear up the confusion surrounding the Gerard – Gerald Nordley website. I contacted Lila to confirm that the man on the website is indeed the man who assaulted her, and she did. Also, the church he says he attends on his website is apparently not far from San Jose, CA. Hope that answers some questions.

Now, Lila Rose has unveiled a new project, the Rosa Acuna Project. This is designed to show how Planned Parenthood lies and manipulates women to coerce them into getting abortions. The first video, from Appleton, WI showcases just how far their “counselors” will go to get another sell.

New undercover footage from an Appleton, WI Planned Parenthood abortion clinic shows clinic staff, including the abortion doctor, lying to two young women about fetal development and encouraging the one who is pregnant to obtain an abortion because “women die having babies.”

In the undercover video, when the two women ask a Planned Parenthood counselor if the pregnant woman’s 10-week-old unborn child has a heartbeat, the counselor emphasizes “heart tones,” and answers, “Heart beat is when the fetus is active in the uterus–can survive–which is about seventeen or eighteen weeks.” On the contrary, embryologists agree that the heartbeat begins around 3 weeks. Wisconsin informed consent law requires that women receive medically accurate information before undergoing an abortion.

The counselor then says, “A fetus is what’s in the uterus right now. That is not a baby.” Dr. Prohaska, the abortion doctor, insists, “It’s not a baby at this stage or anything like that.” Prohaska also states that having an abortion will be “much safer than having a baby,” warning, “You know, women die having babies.”

The video comes one month after the widely reported resignation of Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson. Johnson left her leadership position at Planned Parenthood in Bryan, TX after watching a 13-week old fetus being aborted in her clinic on ultrasound. She said during a recent interview, “Planned Parenthood really tries to instill in their employees and the women that are coming in for abortions that this is not a baby.” In another interview, she noted, “They don’t want to talk about when your baby has a heartbeat,” because “they don’t want to give the woman information that could give her a connection with her baby.”

The investigation is organized by Live Action, a nonprofit student group. Lila Rose, the 21-year-old UCLA student and Live Action president, says medical lies and manipulative counseling are routine at Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain.

“They will do or say anything in order to sell more abortions to more women, whether it is covering up sexual abuse or lying to women about medical facts,” says Rose. “Our team has visited dozens of Planned Parenthood clinics undercover. Planned Parenthood, while claiming to support patient self-determination, operates with an ‘abortion-first mentality.’”

The video is the first in Live Action’s “Rosa Acuna Project,” a multi-state undercover audit documenting Planned Parenthood’s abortion counseling. Planned Parenthood has come under fire recently after Live Action’s investigations found them willing to conceal sexual abuse and accept donations targeted to abort African-Americans only. Videos of abuse cover-up prompted state investigations of Planned Parenthood and diversion of the abortion giant’s public subsidies.

“Planned Parenthood is a billion-dollar organization with nearly $350 million of government funding, and stands to gain hundreds of millions more from national health care,” says Rose. “Do we really want to subsidize an organization that gives women in need atrocious misinformation and predatory abortion practices?”

It’s all about the money for Planned Parenthood. And, like most pro-choicers (especially the feminists), it isn’t really about choice. They want women to have abortions, so badly that they’ll lie and manipulate women to get them to have them. This is, of course, because the abortion business is a lucrative business. Planned Parenthood makes millions off of abortions. It doesn’t matter that a fetus baby actually does have its own DNA, separate from the mother’s, at the moment of conception. It doesn’t matter that the heart actually does begin beating at three weeks, and that there is no such thing as heart tones. Planned Parenthood wants to get abortions, and more importantly, they want to get the lucrative money from performing abortions. As for helping women make the right choice, to Planned Parenthood staffers there is only one right choice, and that’s abortion. They don’t want women to make their own choices, they want women to make the Planned Parenthood choice.

Jessica Valenti, for example, seems to have no problem with covering up the sexual abuse of minors, as long as it leads to abortion, the sacred cow of feminism. Planned Parenthood must be defended and the taxpayer funding cannot be revoked. To feminists, “the right the choose” is more important than anything unethical or immoral that an abortionist may do. It can cover all manner of ills.

Lila Rose’s Rosa Acuna Project apparently has more videos to come. How much undercover investigation does Lila Rose have to do before people stop excusing the evil of Planned Parenthood?

A Planned Parenthood counselor in Birmingham was caught on hidden camera telling an alleged 14-year-old statutory rape victim that the clinic “does sometimes bend the rules a little bit” rather than report sexual abuse to state authorities. This is the seventh Planned Parenthood clinic implicated in a multi-state child abuse scandal involving the deliberate and unlawful suppression of evidence of statutory rape.

Lila Rose, 20-year-old UCLA student and Live Action president, went undercover at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Birmingham and told a counselor that she was 14-years-old, pregnant by her 31-year-old “boyfriend,” and needed a secret abortion so her parents would not find out about her sexual relationship with the older man.

After telling the counselor that her “boyfriend” is 31, Rose asks, “Is it a problem about my boyfriend?” The counselor, identified as “Tanisha” in the video, responds, “As long as you consented to having sex with him, there’s nothing we can truly do about that.” Rose then says that her boyfriend “said he could get in big trouble,” and Tanisha acknowledges that “he could, especially if your parents find out that he’s 31.” She then tells Rose that the clinic manager, OB/GYN Dr. Desiree Bates, “sometimes does bend the rules a little bit” and states that “whatever you tell us stays within these walls” and “we can’t disclose any information to anybody.”

Alabama Code 26-14-3 requires health professionals to disclose suspected cases of sexual abuse to state officials immediately.

“The law is explicit about a healthcare provider’s duty to report, yet Planned Parenthood pretends they cannot say anything,” Rose notes of the investigation. “Planned Parenthood increases its business and influence by circumventing state reporting laws, but inflicts terrible harm upon the vulnerable young girls sent back to statutory rapists.”

In the video, Tanisha also seems to tell Rose that a signature from an “older sister that’s over the age of 18″ or someone “with the same last name” could function as a substitute for parental consent so Planned Parenthood could perform an abortion on a minor. Alabama Code 26-21-3 specifies that the written permission of either a parent or legal guardian is necessary before a minor may obtain an abortion.

The new video is sixth in Live Action’s “Mona Lisa Project,” a nationwide undercover investigation that documents Planned Parenthood’s repeated noncompliance with state mandatory reporting laws for sexual abuse of minors. Alabama is the fourth state to be implicated in the controversy, along with Arizona, Indiana, and Tennessee. Recently, the investigation of a clinic in Memphis, TN assisted state legislators in their effort to successfully divert nearly $1 million in taxpayer subsidies from Planned Parenthood to law-abiding local health clinics.

“When to ‘bend the rules a little’ means hiding a case of statutory rape from Child Protective Services and looking for ways around the parental consent requirement, Planned Parenthood becomes directly responsible for ensuring that statutory rapists can continue their abuse of young girls,” Rose says.

This is yet another incident in yet another Planned Parenthood where the abuse of a minor child by an adult is not being reported. What I would really love to know is just how many young girls are exploited by older men and go to Planned Parenthood, without having their abuses reported to the police as the law requires. Yes, Lila Rose and Jackie Stollar are just pretending. But how many girls walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic that have found themselves in a similar situation to the one that Lila Rose describes, and their abuse never sees the light of day? Is the money made from performing abortions really so lucrative that it is worth covering up the abuse of a young girl?

This is a nationwide issue. There’s no getting around that anymore. This has happened in multiple Planned Parenthood clinics in cities across the country, again and again and again. And Planned Parenthood is a taxpayer funded organization. Unfortunately, with our abortion-loving president, it’s unlikely that any federal investigation will take place. All the same, each state that has seen videos from Lila Rose’s Mona Lisa Project target Planned Parenthood’s in their state should be undergoing investigations. This kind of criminal activity should not be allowed to continue.

For you pro-abortion people out there: is “the right to choose” really so important that you’ll defend an organization that has been caught repeatedly covering up the sexual abuse of children?
