Sen. Coburn gives us some total awesomeness with this video, warning Democrats willing to sell their votes: be prepared.
This is the attitude we’ve been missing from the GOP all along. They’re so eager to play nice with Democrats, that they’ve seemingly forgotten all of their conservative principles. They’ve lost their backbone and forgotten that sometimes, it’s OK to be combative, it’s OK to fight the Democrats every step of the way. This is the spirit I want to continue to see from the GOP.

Every single syllable was G-rated, every single syllable was courteous, respectful and civil. I didn’t hear so much as a single word about turning the USA into a theocracy or locking up the gays.
The best part: He didn’t even come out and explicitly state what he wants these Congressmen to do. It was all man-to-man — these are your choices. Then he left it up to those he was addressing, to decide what they want to do. Precisely what grown-ups do with other grown-ups. When’s the last time you heard a democrat talk that way? In their world, it’s all snotty lecturing. Insisting. Protesting. Force. All must-ought-should-gotta.
This is a model. Nothing complicated about it. But I agree with you 110%, this is what we need to see. I’d like to start a trophy to hand out, with Coburn getting the very first one. I’m envisioning…an elephant, with its dukes up ready to fight, ducking and weaving, and great big ‘unz dangling between its hind legs dragging in the dirt. I guess that would require some refinement. But that’s the image that comes to mind. With something like “Need More ‘Dis” engraved in the pedestal.
That’s why I’m proud to be from Oklahoma. We have Dr. No and Sen. Inhofe who will battle Boxer, Gore, et al every step of the way. Now if we can do something about our Gov. and Atty. Gen.
