Adam Kokesh has decided to run for Congress to represent the Third District of New Mexico. Not familiar with Kokesh? Allow me to enlighten you.
He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999, and served in Fallujah as a sergeant in 2004. Before being disharged in 2006, he was demoted to corporal for bringing a pistol he purchased in Iraq to the United States. He now portrays himself a libertarian conservative, and has even earned the endorsement of Ron Paul (surprise surprise). His shady background shows that he isn’t a conservative at all, that he was a poor NCO, and an awful excuse for a Marine.
After leaving the Corps, he joined Iraq Veterans Against the War. They’re a nasty little group. They’ve issued bomb threats against the Gathering of Eagles and threatend to assassinate Michelle Malkin. They’re the organization that gave us fake Army vet Jesse Macbeth. This is the group that Adam Kokesh aligns himself with. IVAW blames the war in Iraq on “corporate profiteering” and claim that the military is “broken”. It’s also extremely similar to the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, which was little more than a communist front group that held the views that America is an imperialist nation, and that our soldiers who aren’t against the war are murderers.
But don’t think that he’s some innocent bystander. Adam Kokesh has participated in some pretty disgusting stunts. He distributed a Islamophobic flyer on the George Washington University campus, but made it appear that the Young America’s Foundation printed and distributed the flyer. He also repeatedly protested wearing his Marine Corps uniforms. He flew to Germany and urged soldiers stationed there to go AWOL. He was arrested in 2007 for defacing public property. He would parade around in uniform holding an upside-down American flag:

He would also march in uniform for mock patrols during anti-war protests. When a Marine Corps major contacted him about wearing the uniform during protests, Kokesh responded by telling the Major to “please, kindly, go f*ck yourself”.
His actions after he joined IVAW caused the Marine Corps to reduce his honorable discharge to a general discharge. Yet Kokesh still represents himself as a sergeant who received an honorable discharge.
I spoke to the New Mexico Republican Party’s communications director today about his running in the primary as a Republican. The problem is that anyone who is a registered Republican can choose to run in a primary race. There’s nothing that can legally be done to keep him from identifying himself as a Republican, despite the fact that he holds absolutely no conservative or Republican principles. He talks like a patriot now, but what about his actions over the past six years? Apparently, we’re supposed to just forget all about them, and there are apparently plenty who are willing to do that. Kokesh is now appearing on Fox News with Judge Napolitano. He’s been endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus, the 912 Project, and of course, Ron Paul. He’s being praised as a “constitutional candidate”, which is utter bull considering he encourages members of the military to break their oath to always defend the Constitution. The man is a disgrace to the country and especially to the Marine Corps.
Yet he’s raising money. He’s getting attention.
There’s another option for District 3 Republicans: Tom Mullins. He deserves our support, and Kokesh deserves to be exposed as the anti-military, anti-American traitor that he is. If you know anyone who lives in New Mexico, make sure to pass this on and get the word out. We can’t let Kokesh get away with such a blatant lie. His home is not in the Republican Party, and unfortunately, the only way to ensure that is to make sure he does not get elected. So help us expose him for the traitorous fraud he is.
Hat Tip: Michelle Malkin

this piece of squirrel poop deserves to be hung
Ron Paul is crazier than a ferret with syphilis. No wonder he likes this tool.
@ Crush Liberalism:
Why you gotta hate on syphilis ridden ferrets, dude?
Spread the message, Cassy. The lunatic Paulites are already posting all over the internet about what a solid patriot this guy is. But I’ve been there when he was acting stupid in Washington DC and as far as I’m concerned, it’s “game on” against this anti-American cretin kid. And that’s what he is–a twenty-something kid who still gets by on mom and dad’s money because he’s never been anything other than a student and a failed Marine.
Everyone needs to spread the word. Lagniappe and I are doing our part.

What a disgrace. I wouldn’t hire this guy to sweep floors, if everything reported is true, and I have no reason to doubt it.
These guys who wear their uniforms inappropriately should be thrown in the brig.
Maybe we can get a letter writing campaign to people in his district.
You forgot to mention that the head of the VFW supported Adam in his Free Speech issue. And you also claimed that he doesn’t have any conservative values? Did you miss his positions on everything except war?
And you really want the GOP to prescreen our candidates? Because Dede Scozzafava would appreciate that sentiment, as would John McCain and Lindsay Graham.
Where exactly does the GOP platform specifically say that we aren’t ever allowed to even discuss foreign policy?
NM leans heavily Democratic. There’s no way the other GOP candidate can win against Lujan. But you’d rather give the seat to a Democrat?
I just can’t understand that logic.
An Open Letter to My Neocon Party-Mates About Adam Kokesh…
It’s been said that, “You’re nobody until somebody hates you,” and I suppose that’s especially true when you’re involved in politics. This week, the neoconservatives have decided to openly hate Adam Kokesh who is far more of a traditional conserv…
Try viewing him on youtube sometime. Listen to what he is saying, because it sounds alot like what you talk about. Only… He’s getting off of his ass and trying to do something about it. What are you vocalists doin? Letting them turn us againsed each other? Yup. Bring it. Prove me right.
I’d rather have a Democrat than that traitorous bastard Kokesh any day. At least most Dems are honest and up front about who they are and what they stand for. Kokesh is a serial liar who has abandoned and crapped on just about everyone that he has ever been a part of–first the Marines, and then his nutball fringe leftist pals. How long until he punks his new RuPaul disciple pals when a newer, better vehicle for personal fame comes around?
Kokesh does not deserve a government job. All he’s got coming from America is a kick in the ass. I’m sending Mullins the Republican a donation and if Kokesh manages to make it through the primary because of brainwashed Paulites voting, I’ll send a bigger donation to the Democrat.

Thanks so much for making my point. I can understand staying home on election day, but vowing to financially support a nutball leftist freak because a candidate stood with nutball leftist freaks during a political protest just doesn’t make any sense.
I stand for smaller spending and smaller government, and I trust that Kokesh does too.
Kokesh is an extremist nutbag who stands for every Anti-American and crazy idea imaginable, like printing local currencies. Too bad this lunatic doesn’t even understand the Constitution on that simple concept.

Hmmm, his message is reaching someone if he’s getting money. I see this type of attack and it just makes me want to keep giving money to him.
Just a side note: not everyone opposed to the Iraqi war are liberals. Paleo or traditional conservatives also oppose the war, though for very much different reasons than liberals (who those folks see as hypocritical on their opposite to the war anyway).
So, opposing a war based on a lie is anti-military and anti-American?
God help us…
“So, opposing a war based on a lie is anti-military and anti-American?

Groups like Code Pink are both anti-war AND anti-military.
I agree with the first part of your statement, and I apply that to myself as well.
I am farther to the left of Code Pink on matters of war!
Pfft. Opposing wars based on lies is not anti-military, it’s pro-truth.
“Id rather have a Democrat than that traitorous bastard Kokesh any day.” If you knew the democrat he would be running against, I assure you, you would regret that statement. You see, I actually live in the third congressional district, unlike all of you ignorant jerkoffs here. Which means, if Kokesh OR Mullins lose, Im the one who gets ZERO representation! It is unfortunate that so many have decided to meddle in my districts primary on such a national scale. Especially from so many I usually agree with. Which one of you have voted for a candidate in the past that has supported: a) the bailouts (banks, car companies) b) medicare expansion c) No Child Left Behind d) any budget over the last 10 years, or e) voted to fund the departments of commerce, energy, or education? If you have, and you are still a supporter of the tea party movement, you are a hypocrite. And btw, an upside-down flag does not mean “I hate this country,” but rather “my country is in distress.” Which it is, and will be more so if that idiot Lujan stays in office. (He really is a moron, and a puppet for the extreme left. I should know, I actually met the guy!)
This district is 2:1 democrat. A lot of people are against the war here. They are, however, more conservative on social and economic issues than, say, a democrat from San Fransicko. There is a long history of rebellion against government meddling here, especially up north. In fact, it was the men of Chimayo who killed the governor and many of his officers because he dared to try to tax the citizens to pay for government services in the 1830′s – services the community handled on their own very well. If a road needed to be built, the men would gather and build it. No tax was necessary. They also disliked his cultural “permissiveness” (think Bill Clinton), which ran counter to the deeply religious people of the Espanola valley and surrounding hills. But today, there are many problems here, and almost all of them are b/c of government and outsider meddling. Heroin use is rampant (thank you war on drugs), and most people today are on the state, local, or federal government payroll. We need EITHER one to win, although Kokesh has a better chance in November since he reflects the values of the district more than the establishment candidate. But hey, if you want someone who will wage war throughout the world, and bankrupt the country in the process, support neo-con rhinos in your own districts – and butt out of ours!
Please make sure this douche doesn’t get elected!…
Adam Kokesh is not a conservative. He’s not a libertarian. He’s a fake, a liar and a shitbag who has consistently foulmouthed our troops. The guys at This Ain’t Hell have more, as does Cassy. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999, and served in Fall…
I like Kokesh. He is a far bigger patriot than chickenhawks who support war but not funding for schools.
Bringing a gun home from war once was a very allowed action, so that’s a weak charge, and to wear the uniform while protesting now that’s not a good way to honor those who are still active duty. But retro-actively lowering his discharge to general , that’s not right, either!
Carrying the flag upside is a sign of distress, it means come quick we are under attack, & there is a good argument for that given the current state of AFFAIRS.
If the group is making these threats I’m not certain why no one has been indicted?
But the oath is to defend against enemies both foreign, & domestic, so maybe he feels that is the case currently? Read Smedly Butler’s “War is a Racket”, then decide whether his battle is justified.
