The second part of my year in pictures continues here.
Matt and I spent a lot of time over the summer at Emerald Isle at the beach. Emerald Isle is more beautiful than any beach you can find in Florida. You have the beach in front of you and the most beautiful, green, lush landscape in the middle, and the Intracoastal on the other side.

Later in the year, we went to Busch Gardens Virginia, taking advantage of the “Here’s to the Heroes” they offer for military. Matt got in free, and we had fun — although I liked Sea World better. Here’s us eating during a show at Oktoberfest.

We went to Pennsylvania in September to visit my best friend for my whole life, Ashley (we’ve known each other since we were 5). She lived there in Reading with her fiance, and we spent a very fun weekend with Ashley and our two Matts.

On the way back from Pennsylvania, while driving through DC, we stopped and saw Arlington National Cemetery for the first time. It was completely amazing, and I can’t wait to go back again.

A few months ago, we also started our family — by adopting a stray seven-month-old Rottweiler puppy we named Ripley!

Finally, in November, Matt and I took a big step — we became first-time homeowners. We’ve spent a lot of the time since then making our house the way we want it, painting, decorating, and so on. Part of the fun was getting into a massive paint fight between me, Matt, and my cousin and her husband (Alex and Chelsey).

Well, that’s all for the pictures, folks. Thanks for checking them out, and have a very happy new year!

Hey –
Your hair looks just fine. And that’s coming from a short-hair-hater.
Congratulations on the new house, and best wishes for the new year. Just remember, it is what you make it.
