Empires have always conscripted anyone whom they pleased, both in their territory and in newly-occupied lands. The US ended conscription in 1973 as the Vietnam War was winding down. Ever since, joining the Marines or any other branch of the military has been entirely consensual. I don't see how that has anything to do with imperialism, aggression, or anything else these people claim to oppose. Peace now! Give it to them or they'll get violent!
