the last quarter of 2009 seems promising as we have seen lots of signs of econic recovery against the massive economic recession. i hope that in 2010 all our economies would be back on track. recession really sucks.

Oh dear, oh dear, Cassy. You do have a lot of growing up – and research – to do. I’ll chalk it up to your age – and your right-wing proclivities. The Obama inauguration cost almost EXACTLY what the Bush Inauguration cost. If you are going to publish numbers on your blog, be sure you can substantiate them – and don’t simply rely on Fox News. Trouble is those little darlings are at it again – including the cost of security in the Obama inauguartion costs but not the Bush costs. The Federal Govt spend $115 million on the Bush Inauguration (Media Matters for America: learn to quote your sources,please) – and another $42 million was raised – just as Obama raised over $40 million for his inauguration. Get your facts straight.

“Well, what’s in it for me? How is it going to help ME? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO FIX MY LIFE?” will start coming out of me like so much flatulence after a wagyu supper.

As I recall, every last one of the Democratic “Town Hall” meetings back during the primaries went like that. Words like the ones you quoted were coming out of the mouth of every voter that wanted to question the candidates.

And it was the same way in ’04, ’00, and pretty much every other election I’m old enough to remember. That’s what the Democrats’ theme has been for generations – “We’re going to make government work for you,” – instead of, “We’re going to get government the hell out of your lives so that you can be free to accomplish extraordinary things on your own.”

Good golly, I miss President Bush and his principled, down-to-Earth leadership. And I remember back in 2000, how overjoyed I was to see grown-ups in the White House again.

Right now, I’m having that feeling in reverse. Big time. Everytime I see Obama and his jolly group on TV, for a microsecond I actually catch myself thinking, “Wow, great joke guys. Seriously, great SNL skit. Now…where’s the real President so we can get down to business?”

Then…I remember that this laughingstock was actually put in there by 52 million uneducated voters.
