Liberals love America the way some inbred husband on COPS or the JERRY SPRINGER SHOW loves his wife: "I love you, honey. But sometimes you get me so mad when you don't listen to me, I just feel like I have to smack you around a little."

Wasn't Stein the little cretin who said he doesn't support the troops, yet tried to assign his personal guilt onto those same troops in Iraq?

"...I wish I felt such certainty. Sure, it makes life less interesting and nuanced, and absolute conviction can lead to dangerous extremism, but I suspect it makes people happier...."

I dunno, he sounds pretty certain about conservatives to me.

Look, this guy is just ticked off that 'baby didn't get his bottle' from the California gay marriage vote. So, he's mad at the world, big deal, cry me a river sugar-pie, honey-bunch.

"...True love is the blind belief that your child is the smartest, cutest, most charming person in the world, one you would gladly die for...."

Bull$hit...that's not true love, that's not even false love, that's mere illusion. True love is loving someone as you love yourself - unconditionally, but completely honestly.

Conservatives don't love America because they think she's perfect or because they are blinded to her flaws. If conservatives are willing to overlook America's flaws more readily than liberals, perhaps it is because of another emotion conservatives feel more keenly toward America, and those who defend her, than liberals: gratitude.

Look, this is a 50/50 country, basically. At any given time, half the country agrees with this guy and half doesn't. What he's really saying is that he can't love America as long as there are conservatives in it. Who's being all "certain" and intolerant and childish looking at it that way?

One piece of advice to sugar-pie guy's "wife" (rolls eyes - yeah, right, he's married to a woman), get him to explain what he meant by this: "...I’m the type who always wonders if some other idea or place or system is better and I’m missing out. And, as I figured out shortly after meeting my wife, that is no way to love..."

So.......does that mean he loves his wife the way a conservative loves America does despite all the crybabying in the preceding paragraphs? Or does that mean that he is just "in like" with her now, because, you know, she up and burned the toast or something? I dunno, sounds more confused than "nuanced" to me. Hey, maybe that explains all the wahwahing about the gay marriage thing...
