I went to this rally with my children. It was not brainwashing. They did not carry signs, wear buttons, etc if they did not want to. Millions of people died in their orgy of hate and violence. No one who supports Obama wants that. We are just trying to make this country a better place to live, and we believe Obama is the change we need. When I was posted at various units at NAS Whidbey Island over the bulk of my Naval Career, we always got a charge out of the stupid that came out of the Jet City. Mind you, none of the high ranking elected officials in Western WA cared for us much. In a Navy town such as Oak Harbor back then, this would have gotten little press. The paper is a once a week publication. It may have stirred the ire of Old Retired types, particularly the biker guys. So, the moms and dads may have gotten a severe beatdown. No Naval Air Station? Oak Harbor is a wide spot on SR 20. Only in Seattle!

Whats worse is I have a number of center left friends who think I am the kind that wants to brainwash kids. Why you ask? Because I want to marry someone who shares my belief system so we can raise our kids w/o having to competing belief systems in the house, i.e. one liberal one conservative. Told one of my buddies this and was accused of wanting to brainwash my future kids and not giving them a choice. I was at a loss for words, if I would have had a bat I would have beat the guy down.
