I saw you posted Thad McCotter's speech. Let me know if you'd like to receive regular e-mail updates from the Congressman. Thanks.

Agreed, also if it's so crucial to get a bill done why are they leaving Washington? You don't get holidays off in the military. You can't solve market problems with Socialism and people see this for what it is. This is a market correction, we have borrowed for too long and have had no consequences. Yes your 401K's might take a hit in the short run, but they will come back eventually. This bill doesn't fix anything, the same people that got us here will still be in charge and with even more money to hand out to special interests. When a Treasury employee was asked how the 700B pricetag was determined he replied; "..We just needed a really large number." And who thinks these jokers could even fix toast?

Cassy
The bill didn't pass because it is a bad bill. Not because Pelosi hurt their feelings. Why would the GOP torch a bill they considered a good bill just because Pelosi played politics? Makes no sense. A bill is either good and worthy of passing or bad and not worthy. Plenty of Democrats voted against it too. Why? Because their constituents didn't want it passed. Same with the GOP. But they are flogging Pelosi because she flogged them. Bottom line is we need some adults in Washington.
