I agree that they should not be getting pregnant at sixteen, and that it isn’t the best way for a child to be brought up. But I disagree with the idea that the schools shouldn’t help them out, and that they should be shamed. Liberals aren’t the ones who try and help these girls out, liberals think they ought to be convinced that getting pregnant is the end of the world so they will get an abortion, and really try and avoid the consequences. Shaming them will only aid liberals in there efforts.

Personally, I think it’s good for girls who are pregnant or who live lifestyles that will eventually get them pregnant to see that having a baby isn’t the end of the world.

What we need to do focus more attention on is bringing kids up in a environment that promotes moral behavior that will prevent them from being in these situations.

I made a similar comment on another blog regarding this article and someone stated that we need to help them. I laughed at that and told them that those girls need to take responsiblity for their own actions. The problem is that we don’t let anyone be responsible anymore. It’s cold as hell, but the responsible ones need to just put on the brakes and say collectively “nope, not supporting this,” no matter how heart-wrenching it may seem. I’m sorry, but I don’t want to be dragged down into the abyss with the idiots.

The appropriate legal remedies (civil and criminal) should be exacted from the respective fathers of the babies. Babies are (or, should be and, at least once upon a time, were) the primary and mutual responsibility of BOTH parents.

Then, again, what kind of role models would these sperm donors prove to be?

True, we will bail them out. Unfortunately, it would seem to most that we have to.
It isn’t the kid’s fault (the ones that’ll be born in a few months)that their mothers are ignorant little twits. The children should be taken care of, the social consequences of not taking care of the kids is too great.

And it galls me no end, and pisses me off to think of it.
